Some song lyrics..
These are lyrics I wrote about a trip I recently took to Minnesota with a group of friends. Phigga was my boat partner. A lovely time was had by all. It doesn't have a name... maybe "Life of Riley"?
Wake up to the sunlight
pouring out of the sky
big ol' trees
birds flyin' high.
put on some clean clothes
find your shoes
fix your coffee
while you're hummin' the blues
It's the Life of Riley,
It's a living dream
Food and drink
and good company.
Grab your gear
take the hike
down the hill
feeling alright.
Put the cooler
into the boat.
Start the motor;
untie the rope.
It's the Life of Riley
It's a living dream
It's good fishing
and good company
The lake is yours and you got all day,
And if you find a good spot then maybe you'll stay.
We'll party barge and there'll be BDS,
And the dock hands will be running to come get your catch.
(maybe a musical break here?)
It's the Life of Riley
It's a living dream
It's food and drink
And good company....
[the end]
Wake up to the sunlight
pouring out of the sky
big ol' trees
birds flyin' high.
put on some clean clothes
find your shoes
fix your coffee
while you're hummin' the blues
It's the Life of Riley,
It's a living dream
Food and drink
and good company.
Grab your gear
take the hike
down the hill
feeling alright.
Put the cooler
into the boat.
Start the motor;
untie the rope.
It's the Life of Riley
It's a living dream
It's good fishing
and good company
The lake is yours and you got all day,
And if you find a good spot then maybe you'll stay.
We'll party barge and there'll be BDS,
And the dock hands will be running to come get your catch.
(maybe a musical break here?)
It's the Life of Riley
It's a living dream
It's food and drink
And good company....
[the end]

For some reason I'm feeling Grateful while I read that, almost like I was the Eyes of the World....I like it Bob.
I like it, too, Bob. It kinda reminds me of an Eagles song... Peaceful Easy Feeling, maybe... but not quite.
Although I like it, I can't help but think that it could be an indication of something much darker.......... a deep, homosexual attraction to Chuck, perhaps?
Chuck is a fantastic dude and all, but I don't think that's it, my friend. If this song has a dark side, it's probably alcoholism or some sort of chemical dependency (since I was drinking like a fish the entire week in Minnesota).
Anyway, Thanks... I think.
